Milwaukee Date Night

Milwaukee has one of the nation’s best foodie scenes as well as activities galore. We love Wisconsin and trying out local businesses as well as icons known to Wisconsin. Join us as we post date night ideas.

2-21-2020 Milwaukee Date Night (Downtown & Bay View)

We started out our evening at Rodizio Grill located at 777 N Water St, Milwaukee, WI 53202. Rodizio Grill (Formerly Sabor) is still an all you can eat Brazilian meat and salad bonanza and if you sign up on their website, you will receive a buy one get one coupon for your birthday. Many people love Rodizio for the skewers of meat (12-14 different types of meats; however, I love the salad bar. There are so many unique side items, cold salads and also hot items such as beef stew and rice and beans.  Our favorite meats are all the different types of steak and the Parmesan crusted pork tenderloin.  Don’t forget to get horseradish and chimichurri sauce from the salad bar. Our server also gave us a complimentary flan dessert to share since it was my birthday.  Rodizio does have valet parking but we found street parking a block away.

After dinner, we headed to a new spot, open for a month now, RSVR Milwaukee, 2210 S Kinnickinnic Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207, a virtual reality experience center.  Inspired by visiting The Void at Mall of America earlier this month (which was out of this world), we looked up this place and were excited to try it. It’s not on the scale of The Void but it is a fun experience. The station is $60 per hour and you can play as many virtual reality games as you like. I loved the shooting games which I have an affinity for and Beat Saber (very stress relieving); however, the staff will make great suggestions based off your experience and video game preferences. This is good exercise and the guys who own this place were  awesome.

From there, we had worked up a thirst so stopped by Lost Whale, 2151 S Kinnickinnic Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207 for a couple of IPAs. We love bars that have couches or lounge chairs and this spot fits the bill. They also have dry erase tables which are fun.  The decor is eclectic–I want to use the wallpaper at our house too.  We finished off our night with dessert–I was torn between getting the double chocolate chip ice cream cookie sandwich from Insomnia Cookies or trying out something at Cafe Lulu. We settled on Cafe Lulu, 2265 S Howell Ave, Milwaukee, WI 53207 and shared a blueberry pie and vanilla bean ice cream which were delicious. They just became our number one spot for homemade pie. The crust is the best….light, buttery and flaky.

If you love craft beer, definitely check out Milwaukee Pub Pass as Lost Whale and Cafe Lulu both are in it, good for one free beer. Cafe Lulu is in Small Shops United pass as well which offers a coupon for $10 off $30.

Thanks for reading and let’s keep enjoying Wisconsin.

Until the next date night, PEACE, LOVE & HAPPINESS!
